A gratitude initiative for girls’ education

Giving gratitude a purpose.

Charam transforms prayer, celebration, and thanksgiving into an enduring gift: educating a girl whose family cannot afford school. The blessing you give returns, generation after generation.

A letter from our founders

Why Charam exists

In our home, gratitude has always had a shape — a festival prepared for weeks, a pooja offered in thanks, a celebration shared with everyone we love. One year, we asked ourselves a simple question: what if the money we set aside for these moments could become a blessing that outlives the day itself?

That question became Charam. We now divert what we would spend on rituals of thanksgiving directly into tuition fees for girls whose families cannot afford school. The prayer is still offered. The celebration still happens. But it lasts — in a girl who learns to read, to question, to choose her own path.

Charam is our way of saying thank you to God for giving us this long life and for all the opportunities and blessings we have received along the way. We invite you to make your gratitude last, too.

The ripple effect

One education, felt for generations

  1. 1

    Knowledge & confidence

A funded seat in a classroom gives one girl literacy, critical thinking, and the quiet certainty that her mind matters.

  2. 2

    Independence & choice

Education opens work, income, and decisions of her own — breaking a cycle of economic dependence that spans generations.

  3. 3

    A generational legacy

An educated mother educates her entire household. When a girl gets educated, an entire family gets educated.

Charam publishes audited annual accounts and school-level disbursement reports. Student names and photographs appear only with written family consent. Annual progress reports are published each April.
